Cheerleading Photography

I am a part of a local Cheerleading squad in Leicester called Elite Storm Cheer & Dance. Cheerleading has featured in several of my University and College projects as my Cheerleading squad are very accessible for me to take photos. Being part of the squad helps when taking photos in competitions or training sessions is that everyone knows who I am within the squad and they feel comfortable around me because I have been there so long.

They have featured in 2 of my university projects so far. The first was a documentary project where I was required to document a subject that I knew, this for me was of course my Cheerleading squad, the end result of this project was to use the photos taken to form a photo book. The most recent project they have featured in is a Narrative project, in which we could carry on with the sunject we did for the documentary project, but this time its had to have a Narrative structure to the photographs, for my narrative structure I chose to progress in age from the youngest team in our squad to the eldest team, showing how they progress in difficulty and experience as they get older.
